January 15 –Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder
Singh Hooda today announced a number of developmental
projects for Jhajjar including a nursing college,
community centre, a sports complex, a rest house and a
ring road at Jhajjar and also announced to give a grant
of Rs 10 crore to the municipal committee, Jhajjar for
undertaking various development works.
These announcements were made by the Chief
Minister while addressing a public meeting at government
girls senior secondary school,Jhajjar. Mr Hooda said
that the directions had been given to the Deputy
Commissioner Jhajjar, Mr Ajit Balaji to conduct a survey
for the extension of municipal limit of Jhajjar city.
He also ordered to change the sagging electricity wires
in Jhajjar city.
He said that keeping the performance of the
sportspersons of district Jhajjar in the Commonwealth
Games held at New Delhi,it is necessary to provide
better sports facilities to the children of this
district so that their sports talent could be further
improved in a better way. He also announced to set up a
park over an area of six acres at Sampla road, Jhajjar
and said that it would be named after freedom fighter
Rao Mangli Ram. He also announced to construct a new
rest house consisting of ten rooms at Jhajjar. He also
said that a ring road would also be constructed at
Jhajjar to get the city rid off the problem of traffic
jams.

He said that Jhajjar would be developed on the
pattern of Gurgaon and would get a facelift. The big
projects which were implemented in this city had now
started yielding results. The city had been linked with
the railway line and the state government had borne 50
per cent cost of the railway line.The thermal plants set
up at Jhajjar had given recognition to this city not
only in the country but in the world.
Addressing the people on this occasion, MP Mr
Deepender Hooda said that new directions had been
given to the development in the area under the sagacious
leadership of the Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh
Hooda during the period last six-and-half years.The
four-laning work of Rohtak-Jhajjar-Rewari road was
going on war footing.
Speaking on this occasion,Mrs Geeta
Bhukkal,Education Minister said that the projects which
have been dedicated or whose foundation stone has been
laid by the Chief Minister today would certainly give
impetus to the development of Jhajjar.
